The SID City Scientific Park team of Lviv Polytechnic University, together with the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, organized the Forum "Development of Digitalization of the Tourism Sector."

More than 50 representatives from the AHs of the Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, and Lviv regions attended the event to discuss regional priorities for digitalization and tourism transformation. Natalia Tabaka, Head of DART, and Pavlo Prokhorenko, Head of the Department for Work with State Enterprises at Kyivstar, also participated.

Ms. Natalia Tabaka opened the event by outlining developments in Ukraine’s tourism sector and reporting on the new tourist tax payment system, launched last September in Uman and Staraya Ushtyka. She noted that revenues increased by 160-400 percent.

The SID City team also presented the Pay4Victory tax payment platform and its accompanying tourist tax payment application.

The Pay4Victory application has the potential to turn tourism into a powerful tool for the development of communities and their economies. As noted by the head of the community, Yasinya, Zakarpattia region: "With the implementation of the Pay4Victory application, debts for non-payment of local taxes were reduced by more than 50%, which is about 3.5 million UAH of our budget".

Following the event, the team agreed to implement the tax payment application in Vorokhtyansk, Biloberezivsk, and additional territorial communities.
