Deputy Minister of Education and Science Mykola Trofymenko: "The technical base of Lviv Polytechnic is one of the best in Ukraine"
Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Mykola Trofymenko, in “Comments with Anton Borkovsky,” noted the high level of the technical base of the National University “Lviv Polytechnic”. On Espresso, he mentioned the Lviv Polytechnic science parks and called them “one of the best in Ukraine”. The Deputy Minister also noted the University's technical support.
“Lviv Polytechnic has a very powerful science park, where part of the property belongs to the University. Conditions have been created there for the development of startups and ideas. And this is probably the best science park that I have seen in Ukraine today,” said Mykola Trofymenko.
A science park is a space in a scientific institution with technical support co-financed by investors.
“That is, young people who are receiving education have the opportunity to have space, equipment, materials, and machines that allow them to implement various ideas at the university,” the official explained.
Separately, the Deputy Minister noted the training of specialists in the field of artificial intelligence, which is being prepared by Lviv Polytechnic:
“Many universities in our country, within the framework of their autonomy, are developing their own regulations for working with artificial intelligence, because it must be used as an assistant to facilitate search procedures and analyses, on which we spend a lot of time. This time can be devoted to creativity or other processes that only a person can perform. Therefore, I believe that artificial intelligence must be integrated, must be actively studied, and must be actively used. And thank God that we have such specialists and heads of our institutions as Ms. Natalia (Shakhovska), who will be able to, so to speak, professionally guide us along this path,” said Mykola Trofymenko.
