H2Heat
The H2Heat project, named as Strategic Project by the Government of the Canary Islands, in collaboration with the Canary Islands Ocean Platform (PLOCAN), aims to harness the power of offshore wind energy to produce green hydrogen as a sustainable fuel source.
The H2HEAT project aims to revolutionise the way energy is produced and used by converting heat into heating and hot water systems in commercial buildings, such as a hospital in Gran Canaria. This can reduce CO2 emissions by more than fifty per cent, which will significantly contribute to their sustainability goals.
The H2Heat Project is on a mission to showcase the complete journey of green hydrogen (H2) – from production to application. We are driven by a singular mission: to demonstrate the full value chain of green hydrogen production and its application in commercial building heating.
