Winners and prize-winners of the children's innovation project "Startup Batyari" were honored in the Lviv region
The head of the Lviv OVA, Maksym Kozytskyi, met with the finalists of the educational project "Startup Batyari", which is implemented by the Department of Education and Science together with Tech StartUp School Lviv Polytechnic. Its goal is to support students in grades 5–11 who develop their own ideas and take the first steps toward invention.
This year's winners:
Tymofii Kutsak, an 8th-grade student at the Ivan Franko Stryi Lyceum, created a home-assistant robot controlled via a smartphone.
Nestor Matsenko, a graduate of the Dobrotvirskyi Supportive Secondary Educational Service of the 1st-3rd Degrees and a current student of the Lviv Polytechnic, presented an educational robot with sensory "eyes" and remote control.
Sofia Tsudna, a 10th-grade student at the Romaniv Lyceum, developed Healthy Tail – an ecological cat care product that strengthens the animals’ immunity and reduces the risk of diseases.
Anastasia Yanishevska, a 9th-grade student at Secondary School #67 in Lviv, created a natural anti-pigmentation serum to even out skin tone.
“First, they stay up half the night, because the crazy neighbor is once again launching missiles and “shaheeds” at peaceful people. And already during the day, they cheerfully present their ideas for the future. An unfair number of trials have fallen on our children and youth. But every time I look into their eyes, listen to their ideas, visions, and dreams – I am filled with admiration for how courageously and with dignity they are holding on,” Maksym Kozytsky emphasized.
Over the past 6 years, more than 4,500 schoolchildren from the Lviv region have participated in the program. This year, 300 thousand hryvnias were allocated for training and prizes for participants.
The project also provides mentoring support for those who plan to continue their development. We continue to support educational initiatives that help young people express themselves, learn to work in a team, and launch their own ideas.
