Mykola Trofymenko, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, got acquainted with the work and teams of Tech StartUp School and SID City Scientific Park Lviv Polytechnic during a working visit=
Natalia Shakhovska, Rector of Lviv Polytechnic, and Mykola Logoyda, Vice-Rector of Lviv Polytechnic, together with Mykola Trofymenko, joined meetings with teams and startups developing on our base and receiving expert and mentoring support.
As part of the meetings, a presentation on the developments of the teams that work and conduct research at BioTech Hub took place: wound-healing, projects, and cosmetic products.
A meeting was also held with the developers of the Dofamine simulator, which is actively used for education, training, and rehabilitation. The simulator's focus is the rehabilitation of people with brain injuries. The simulator reads electrical signals from the brain through sensors on the head and converts them into commands for driving a car - acceleration or braking, depending on the patient's concentration level.
Another area of the simulator's work is the full replication of all the movements that a driver can experience on various types of moving vehicles, with immersion in virtual reality. Thanks to this, students can gain valuable practical experience in safe conditions.
