Nazar Podolchak presented the idea of creating a cluster of plant protein products at the Next Bite 2025 forum.
Participation in the event and presentation of the idea is an important stage of his participation in the EIT Food RIS Policy. Previously, the EIT Food RIS Policy team, which unites scientists and experts in 22 countries, worked on forming roadmaps for the development of EIT Food and its socio-economic impact in various EU and partner countries.
We started the Next Bite 2025 forum with a discussion of a new strategy for the development of the agri-food sector in Europe. Ukraine's huge potential through the use of modern technologies and innovations gives us a chance to become the first in the production of proteins from products that are a top trend in the EU and the world. We have a unique time to create trends, and not only in courage, sustainability, and the defense industry, but in technologies for various industries," shared Nazar Podolchak.
The forum had a rich program and brought together various areas of industry development in the coming years: reducing food losses, protein direction, circular economy, food packaging, supporting farming, organic farming, and more.
The Cluster will become an integrated innovation platform for the development, testing, and commercialization of plant-based protein (PBP) products across the entire value chain — from raw materials to end consumers — with a focus on sustainability, regional economic development, and food security.
